Have you taste Carioca? these are sweet chewy treats that can be enjoyed as dessert, in our province we normally had it for snacks, these are made from sweet rice flour (Malagkit) and some shredded coconuts to make the texture even lovable and ohhh so crunchy in the outside & chewy inside!


Glutinuous – Coconut Milk – Muscovado Sugar -Shredded Coconut

Sharing you these quick steps you can follow:

1. Combine Glutinous flour and coconut milk (you may add shredded Coconut if you got at home) Mix well until a dough is formed.

2. Use spoon to Scoop a portion then form into a ball.

3. Heat now the pot with cooking oil. (i used vegetable oil for this)

4. Deep fry in a medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until it turns golden brown.

5. Drain excess oil. Or use a Paper towel in a plate. Set aside.

6. Now for Caramelized : Heat the saucepan the pour our Sugar. Add some little water or you may use coconut milk too. Stir continuously until it thickens.

7. Toss our Glutinous balls to cover it all.

Enjoy with your favorite cold or hot drinks!
