Sweets anyone?
Dulce de leche? Just a can of 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗞𝗔 sweetened condensed milk #AddOnlyAlaska #AddLove to make a creamy caramel sauce.
Have tried this with Turon, but this is a first time to make my Version.
I’m so excited for this. So, let’s start
Since i have some left ALASKA Condensed from Biko that i made last Aug 1, we won’t make a waste on it.
– Cover the can with a Aluminium Foil.
Fill the pot with water, making sure the water level is at above the can.
-Set over high heat and allow to come to a simmer.
Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours for a lighter caramel, but if you want a darker caramel, you may simmer longer.. At least 3hours; Always Remember to check the pot every 30 minutes to ensure that the water level stays above the can, adding some boiling water as necessary.
-For safety, Use a pair of tongs, remove the can from the water and let it cool for a while.
– For your Info: Unopened cans of dulce de leche that you made can be stored for up to 3 months.
Reheat in a double boiler to soften dulce de leche to a spreadable or drizzle-able consistency.
Dulce de leche can be transferred to a container and refrigerated for up to max of 3 weeks.
Ready for a Caramel Spread.
Enjoy!
I will be happy to read your comments,
